I fractured the lower part of my fibula and my ankle mortise was displaced so it had to be surgically put back into place. I now have a metal plate and seven screws in my ankle which is kind of sweet, but definitely not worth the isolation and stir-craziness I've had to endure. It's now been 4 weeks since my surgery and I just found out yesterday I get to stay in my cast for another 3 weeks! Awesome! As I am slowly able to put more weight on it I will progressively become more able to do various things, but I long for the day I can just drive my fucking car again.
Until then... I'll be reading, watching movies, and drawing.
